I have a 336 made in 1951. I'm the 3rd owner. I almost got a hold of a JC Higgins in .35. It was a Marlin 336, of course. I also passed on( dumb move) a Remington slide (mod 141 or 14?) in .35 rem.

A 35 rem will probably be my next deer rifle. I have winchester trapper in 30-30 and a marlin 30tk in 30-30. I ll probably sell the marlin though. Its an excellent short range hard hitting round. Perfect for hunting the think swamps up here in northern pa.

Nice, my 35 is an older model Marlin as well. Tough to beat.

I'm a .35 rem fan as well. If anyone is interested, I'm in the process of conducting terminal performance tests on this round an others. carbine country I have three .35 rem loads tested so far and I should have two more ready by the end of the weekend.
