Ok, on my last bow, I had an early version of the whisker bisquit (without the side slot). I liked it but the bow was older and pretty slow. A buddy of mine ragged me about it and I even read some reviews about it tearing up fletching and slowing down arrow speed significantly.

when I bought my current bow about three or four years ago, I put the bo doodle rest on it. It has the three sides of thin metal, left, right and bottom of arrow. It works fine and holds the arrown nicely but it seems to have gotten a little more flexible and my arrow is easily dropped below the rest. I know I probably didn't explain that very well.

I remember that when I had the whisker bisquit, loading the arrow was the only pain. Now that they have the side slot and now that they actually have a smaller hole for carbon arrows I don't see that as being an issue.

Any good reviews out there on this rest. I remember being able to put my bow upside down and the arrow staying in place and ready to shoot. I am considerign going back to it but wanted to see what you guys thought about it and who was using one.

The WB is good, but the problem that I found with it is when in close quarters with whitetails and called in elk, I had several spook cuz of the noise it made when you drew. It was the arrow rubbing on the whisker part of the rest. I have since went to a drop away rest, with big forks. There is no way that your arrow can come off, and it is all but silent when you draw. I will never go back to anything else, and you dont have to worry about tearing fletchings off, or slowing arrow speed.

Nothing wrong with the whisker biscuit. I've shot arrows through my Chronograph with the biscuit and with a drop away rest. The arrow coming off the biscuit was about 3 fps slower. To me, that's not enough to make a difference. It's a good rest.

I am only using a drop away now because I am using FOBs on my arrows instead of standard fletching.

The QAD is exactly what I use, and have never had anyproblems with it. I also see 90% of my archery elk clients with this type of rest.

I will second Popapi's recommendation on the QAD, that is the rest I am using now.

I've never experienced the problems TobyJoe mentions of tearing the fletchings off. In the past, it did leave the edges of my feathers tattered, but it did not affect the flight of the arrow. I've heard that the straight fletched Blazer vanes work best with the Biscuit.

I use the WB, on both of my hunting bows (Mathews Drenalin and Reezen). Wouldn't even consider using anything else.

I use the WB and I'm very happy with it.

Take a look at the Limbdriver, I switched to that when I decided to shoot FOBS. Best rest I ever bought.

I use the limbdriver also. It works really well. I had a QAD on my last bow and it worked well also. I got a Bowtech 82nd Airborne and I heard it worked better on such a fast bow. Either way, they are both good rests.

Once I put on the slotted WB I stopped looking for anything else. I just don't see how it gets more trouble free, simple and without any moving parts, strings, levers, gadgets, etc. Just like moving from the Bungie cord peepsight to the "nopeep" a whole bunch less clutter and dangling crap on my bow.

I've not speed tested it myself VS a drop away, but enough others have which shows no functional difference in velocity. The sound while drawing it is noticable with alloy arrows, but I have not found this to be the case with composite arrows.

There's a reason some of us use a drop away rest and it's called FOBS. Other than tradition, I don't really see why more folks don't shoot them. You absolutely cannot shoot groups using these things or you will destroy your arrows/FOBS. There's an interesting video on Starrflight.com that folks should watch, which shows the comparison of flight between FOBS and fletchings. http://www.starrflight.com/video_fob_vs_fletch.php

I run the WB with blazer vanes. I can shoot with the drop away guys all day long and the WB is twice the hunting rest. The Blazer vanes don't warp and theres less friction. Also use arrow wraps. Vanes refuse to come loose from wraps. Fletching becomes a little more of a biatch but that dose not bother me.

The WB is a decent rest but for a price of the new one you can get a trophy taker drop away which is a great rest.

I used a WB for a few years and for some reason decided I "needed" to go with the new drop aways. Tried an NAP(can't remember the model) for a year, then right back to the WB. Got the bright idea to go back to a DA and bought a drop zone. Took that thing right back to the shop and bought another WB. I don't have any tuning issues with the WBs, they hold the arrow like no other, and like mentioned the velocity decrease is very minor at best. Some say they are loud, may want to try diff shafts. I'm using GT camo XT shafts and they aren't loud at all. I also hear they tear up vanes, IME when a bow is tuned they don't hurt the vanes. Maybe if you use a strong helical...

The WB is hard to beat for hunting IMO.

WB=KISS. One less thing to worry about, and accuracy is fine for me. I use VaneTec vanes and they hold up well.

Check out a Hostage, its kind of like a whisker, except it has three brushes, almost like tooth brush bristles. They totally contain the arrow yet there is no fletching contact, i have one an love it, very simple, nothing can break...

I had a Hostage in my hand and the guy who owns my archery shop told me not to waste my money. He said they don't hold up very long compared to the WB. I never bought it, so I can't verify the statement.

I ran a Hostage for a while. The lower brush wore out in a hurry. Supposedly if you baby the Hostage Pro you can make it last longer.

Running a QAD now, and liking it a lot...

If you like the QAD, you would love the Limbdriver. Easiest dropaway to tune that I know of.
