What is the most popular bore sighter used these days? I realize a person can go old school or can opt for the new lazer type. I am looking for something universal. Looking for opinions...

Thanks,

Leupold Zero Point has worked very well for me so far in getting guns within 6 inches or so of desired POI. Have had it a few months and used it on a 22 (Leupold), 257 Wby (Leupold), 300 saum (swaro), 308 (swaro) and 300 wsm (swaro), which hopefully qualifies it as universal.

Leupold claims it can be used with red dot sights and iron sights, but don't believe it. Whatever you are boresighting needs to have magnification to see the matrix you use to dial in.

I have both. I tend to use the "old-school" one more. seems more repeatable in getting within 4-6" or so. just my opinion....
