Any hunters from Poland on here? My wife is originally from Radom, we go to visit once a year or so. I was suppose to go this summer and get some fishing in, but looks like its not gonna happen due to work. I would love to see some pictures of the more rural areas. I have been to Krakow, but havent made it to the Tatra's yet. What is the hunting like? Any good stories?

There were a couple but they kept getting further from the road dragging the deer. Half of an old joke.

I`m not from Poland, but I usually hunt there 1-2 weeks per year. It is probably one of the best countries in Europe to hunt in. Lots of different and very large populations of game.

Fredrick, what general area do you hunt? I have looked at hunting a few different clubs and paying their fee's. Is one area more preferred than others? Thanks.

I have hunte mostly on government land and I prefer to go to Masurien (former east preussia. The biggest red stags are located in this region. Great hunting, but a little more expensive than huning clubs. But on the other side, you don`t have to share the area with a lot of local hunters wich are the situation on the hunting clubs.
I have also hunted in the Wroclaw area for roe bucks. This area has probably one of the highest densitys of roe bucks in Europe.
Wildboars can be hunted almost everwhere, but the southern and westeren regions are among the best when you only pay concern to the numbers. The best trophys can be located in the east in the are around Browsk and Bialowieza national forest.

Frederick, just the info I was looking for. Now I can narrow down my research to general areas. Very much appreciated. Good Hunting.
