Here's a floormetal that was opened 3.350"ID by an unknown smith all the way through creating a gap as seen in the first pic. I thought it might make a good project for someone with a tig welder and some time to fiddle with. I fit a set up plate to it that has the little flat near the release. Another fun little project for someone with a sharp file and some time on their hands. The release is not checkered. The last pic tries to show the back corner of the magazine box that has been rounded off a little giving the perfect opportunity for some more tig welding practice. $200 shipped here in the States only.
