Bad news about our friend. He fell on his front steps yesterday and broke his hip. He is in the hospital here in Show Low and is scheduled for surgery at 1 PM today. It appears the break can be repaired without a replacement by inserting a pin.

I had a good talk with him, and have to say he is VERY upbeat considering the situation. He admitted he is in pain and is looking forward to getting the surgery done. He asked me to pass this news along to his friends here on the Campfire.

I'll go over and visit him when he recovers this afternoon and keep you folks posted.

Many thanks for posting this.

That's terrible! Ken just PM'd me the other night and I was fixing to give him a call. I guess it will have to wait.

thnx for letting us know Darby, if you go visit him on your bike try & keep both tires on the pavement so you don't end up being Ken's room mate.

Tell him we all say hi & wish him well.

I hope Ken Howell's recovery includes writing on this forum. I miss his input and his class!
