Haven't been able to get onto rimfirecentral for a while. I head they lost their founder. Anyone else having problems getting on, or know what's up?

I head they lost their founder. Years ago, I spent a lot of time on RFC, and am curious about who the founder is that they lost? TIA, Don "Indyshooter" who was the webmaster and one of the guys responsible for transforming "Giz's 1022 Central" into Rimfire Central near the beginnning died last month of pancreatic cancer. His real name was Dan Miller. I have no idea who holds ownership of the name or handles maintenance now. I heard from Vincent via email last night, he said he had been out shooting with Armor Bearer at a range and when they returned home past 10 AM or so it was down. Haven't heard anything from anybody else. Glad to see it mentioned here, maybe somebody will know what's happened.

Phil pretty much hits it on the head.
For many of us RFC is kinda our home on the web. It is much loved.
What does "pinging" it do??
It is what you learn after you know it all that is important.

I just tried using the ping command to send one to RFC. Windows sent 32 byte ping five times, five times time out/no response.

It is that Vince. I was on RFC around 2:00 PM CT and then it went down. Haven't been able to get back on since. I sure do miss Indy. We had a few down times, but nothing like this in the 3 1/2 years I've been around. Brent P.S. I enjoyed our time at the range Vince. Not a good pistol day for me, but shooting open sights was a blast. Should be getting that ghost ring sight for the CZ 452 Lux today or Monday.

With the wave of hacker attacks going around you never know when any site it going to be hit, some of our "liberal" friends would likely like to see many sites like RFC and this and others go down if only briefly.

 Sure hope this is a temporary issue. I was also in the middle of posting a reply yesterday at work when it went down. Whewww, 3:21pm EST and it just came back up for me
