Saw one today at a gun show in town. Asking price was $595 Cdn, so figure $475 USD. Rifle was in very nice shape -- couple dents in the stock, and a few dings on the bbl and receiver.
QUESTION: Too much money? Accuracy??
I know they don't make new ones, and I would not buy it and not shoot it. My wife wants a rimfire lever.

Cant Comment on the price as I havnt looked recently. But they are a great lil gun. Well made. Wouldnt mind owning another one.
Accuracy wise? I havnt shot paper with it in a LONG time. But was shooting shotgun shells offhand at 50yrds with it today, and it still has open sights on it.

for 475.00 if you want one, you had better grab it, because they are going no where but up in price.

straight stock or pistol grip?
I've got a couple in 22M & we really like em.
I'm kind of looking for a 3rd to tell you the truth.
my .22 mags are very accurate, no personal exp with that rifle in .22 lr but i've heard nothing but good about them as well.
Something clever here.

I have one in the trapper length and it is deadly on rabbits. Mine was mint, and I think I paid $525 for it 2 years ago.

at a auction sunday there were several and they ran from 700 dollars for a pre-xtr no checkering and high gloss blueing to 1100 dollars for a NIB tribute model. I suggest buy one as soon as you can because they just keep going up. Preferebly buy the early models.

That isn't that great a price, I just purchased a like new in box Tribute model for $700, the seller still has three like new 94422xtrs for $650 each. For the extra $50, I would go with a like new gun.

700 dollars for a tribute model is a steal. I took it to be a good deal after seeing beat up 9422s selling for between $450 and $500, and one selling for $675 with some worn bluing, some marks on the stock, and the front sight hood missing.

I certainly wouldn't pay $600 for a 90-95% gun, when I can get a 98% gun for $650, or a 100% gun for $700.

Over the past year I have seen a few sell in the $450 to $500 range for rifles that are in really good shape. Then another $50 or so for a 22 magnum. One with a few scratches and scrapes should be in the $375 to $425 range in my area. But areas are definitely different for lever action rifles. I know the ones I have shoot very well. And are pretty well made rifles. If they ever bring them back I am sure they will sell for a good bit more. Tom.
