I saw a movie where only the military and the police had guns. It was called Schindler's List.

Ha ha. Tzone, what breed is yours? I've brushed my German Sheppard once or twice a week for the past few weeks and gotten at least a grocery bag full of hair. Not to mentioned what's collecting on the rugs... the carpet... under the treadmill.

Love the dog, hate the hair.

She is a full bred mutt. smile She is a lab, and we think husky mix. 10yrs old now. Great dog, she causes trouble sometimes, but I can't think of a better dog to have at our house. You wouldn't think she has any fur left the way shes dropping it.

Well I thought I should explain my statement about "thinking" I was building a house this year.

My cousin's husband is the one that is going to build it. Problem is, they have a 4 year old little boy, Cole, who was diagnosed less than 2 weeks ago with a Wilms tumor on his kidney. I has been since diagnosed as the worst kind of cancer that it can be. They did surgery and removed a tumor the size of a nerf football. the prognosis is not good. he will be down at Childrens hospital undergoing both chemo and radiation for the next year. yes, I said year. We are very close to that side of the family so it is a hard deal. I think the house project will still go, but it might be delayed a little. If you are the praying kind, send one up for Cole.

Well, prayers to your family, truthfully. I hate hearing about sick childeren. Makes me very sad, especialy since they probably have no idea what is going on.

I thak God every day that I have healthy kids.

A house is just "things" and can wait.

I wish that little guy the best.

Tom

Prayers on the way. Bad things just should not happen to children.

They are at Childrens Hospital in Mpls. I read their caringbridge updates and it is just sad. The rollercoaster of emotions (they were initially told that it was the best kind of Wilms, then later changed to the worst), the being away from home, the lack of understanding from Cole. He was talking about going ice fishing and playing hockey this winter. He as no grasp of the fact he will be in the hospital for a year. A freaking year.

He is a sports fanatic. If anyone is long lost brothers with Joe Mauer or has another "in" with a Minnesota sports figure, I would love to figure out a way to get him a hospital visit.
