Little stalking evening yesterday, south of Spa ...

I saw one pregnant sow at 35 yards, one big bull red stag (8x8) at 50 yards, one roe deer and finished the hunt litteraly surrounded by 8 piglets and all size and sex boars ... just a few yards away (pictures at less than 5 yards)I wasn't able to shoot one, piglets were too small and when I saw bigger ones it was too dark to check their sex or see my reticle.

Yep ... game is tasty, not vermin ... but they were a bit too light (10 to 12 pounds) for a close quarter big-game rifle hit ... grin

Big ones make impressive trophies ... little ones are tasty and tender eating.

You need to visit those tasty little critters with a good .22LR in tow. Should be just about right for snack size porkers grin

6.5 mm & 2200 joules @ 100 m (1623 ft-lbf @ 109 yards).

I really dislike to call those "pigs". Not feral animals at all.

Head shots... within reason, of course.

US - introduced invasive, pedigree unknown

Europe - native game animal

To take one of those little ones would be the equivalent of shooting a newborn fawn here in the states.
