Did some shooting with my 24" 300 WSM this morning. Tried RL 17 and 168 and 180 gr TSX bullets. Results were 3100 fps with 65.5 gr in the 168 TSX and 3015 fps with 64 gr. in 180 gr TSX.
I don't have any accuracy results yet. I just wanted to test velocity with RL 17 so was shooting off the front patio and can only shoot 30 yrds. By the way, I did try 66 grains of RL 17 with the 168s and got 3150 fps, but seemed just a bit hot so scaled it back just slightly. Alliant shows 68 gr of RL 17 at 3217 as their top load, but I wouldn't want to go there. For the 180 Alliant shows 66 grains at 3082 fps.

67.5 grains RL-17, WLMR primer, 168 TTSX, Winchester Mod. 70 Featherweight, 3154 fps, under 1" at 200 yards, repeatedly. I've sighted dead on at 200 with the B&C reticle in the Leupold scope mounted on the rifle.
