Hey guys,
I've got some Ramshot Magnum, and I'm wondering if anybody here has used it in a .338WM, and if so, if you've got a recommended starting place for charge weights, that would be great. Thanks!

I'm surprised nobody has experimented with this one...

I believe it might be to slow burning for the 338 Win. except for very heavy bullets 300gr. or more. I would check Ramshot's web site for data if there isn't any, give them a call their pretty darn helpful.

A 338 burns 30-06 powders,Magnum is couple of steps past RL-22. I found it a fair bit slower than it was placed on the chart.Great 264 powder.

In Ramshot's line Hunter or Big Game are the ones for the 338 WM mag. If you're intent on using it just fill the case to the brim, make a little bit of room to seat the bullet and compress it. It's way too slow to do much of anything with any regular hunting bullet, even the 250's.

I've tried it in the 338 with 225's and 250's.

A bit to slow to get any significant speed.

I did end up using RL25 and 250 NP's for just under 2,800 mv
using Norma brass.
