discussions on another board referenced the herters link, it appears that sauer/hawes/herters were fraternal triplets! fwiw, gunparts corp, nee numrich arms, has hawes parts they say will fit the sauer and potentially herters powermags.

I have found several parts including a cylinder for a Hawes (J.P. Sauer) in the Numric arms catalog. I have purchased said cylinder and several other bits and pieces for Hawes single action from them.
Fatboy how far up the penninsula are you? We are on the south end in Union.

the sear/hand spring and screw for the large frame hawes, ordered from numrich worked excellently! gun has shot some 1.5-1.75 inch groups at 25 yards. other than some cosmetic damage to the blueing, it's in great shpe; i'd say the former owner shot it very little. now to find some stocks! i'm about halfway between PT and PA.

Fat boy, I think a friend of mine may have a set of grips, they may be the butt ugly plastic fake bone I am not certain i will give him a call and check it out. You must live just a bit south of Sequim. I go up there now and again for lunch.

Fatboy, I just called my friend who is the former owner of a Sauer single action...both sets of grips went with it a couple months ago.
My having lunch in Sequim has a lot to do with timing, either going to or comming from fishing trips up on the Straights. We stop at this cafe in Sequim that has a 50's kinda look...they make a pretty good burger. I used to fish Discovery Bay but haven't been there in a long time.

I believe that Bob's Gun Shop in Royal, Ar has all the leftover parts from Hawes/JP Sauer guns.
