Who can I buy a unit specific map from (Unit 21 for antelope)?

I used to order mine for Wyoming from the BLM and Nat Geo offices, Colorado but that was years before the internet took off.

Now, there are a host of commercial mapping services that will get you about anything you want, the actual maps, DVD's, etc.

Just do a google search such as this, Wyoming maps unit 21 and this pops up as the first but there are commercial outfits that will get it to you much faster under this search:

mytopo.com will make you one that is more or less exactly what unit you want.

Got one for area 75 at "Rocky Mtn Sports" in Riverton this last weekend. They will do any area/any species in the state.

BTW They will print it while you wait!

Go to this link if you know which topo maps you might need. In GIS lingo topo maps are called DRG's (digital raster graphics)

One can usually run down the typical 1:24,000 scale. Download the "multi page processed tif" file. That can be opened with ones Paint program or for better viewing....

download a free map viewing program. Global Mapper is a good one.

The progam will display coordinates for points as one moves his mouse across the displayed maps and it can go to the web and download aerial photos for the areas one is viewing.

Given absolutely free internet access to maps and photos for the entire US, I am amazed anyone can make a buck selling maps today.
