well, i'm no pro at pics, so blood and bad angles are here. first unit 32 doe goat was with my 257 wthby mag, at about 250 yards. the rest were taken with my 300 wsm. my partners 270's boss had come loose, so we shared my 300wsm. and the 1st unit 72 doe taken by my hunting partner with an l1a1. shot was just about 200 yards. we did an awesome spot and stalk on these 2 and got a double using our l1a1's. who says ebr's have no sporting purpose ?? both were shot at right at 120 yards, after we stalked up using a hill as cover, and sat up resting an elbow on a knee, counting to 3 and both firing about the same time. we had whispered who was shooting at which one before the shots, and it all fell into place. we had a great time, and will be going back next year. we also had a late snack after skinning and cutting up a few. brought the gas grill with and tried some fresh back strap. the knife was used to skin and cut up 6 before needing a touch up.

Very well done! congrats. But are you sure you weren't in Nebraska? There are no antelope in Wyoming. LOL

Can't really tell for sure, but those steaks look a bit overdone in the photo. Might be less chewy if they were closer to medium rare and given a brief rest before eating. Out of north American game, I find pronghorn the best tasting and most tender.

steaks were about medium, still slightly bloody inside. they weren't tough, just chewy and a ... ahh, sagey kinda taste/ after taste....
hopefully burger with beef fat will make em eatable.
it was the 1st hunt this year, a warm up for elk on 10/17, 2nd colorado elk season.
praying it goes as well. also praying for cold and snow. gotta get them elk movin, unlike the hot dry from last year.
waders, good luck, there's no shortage of goats in nebraska !
thanks for all the kind words all, my best friend and i had a great time. wives were happy the trip went well too.

And thanks to guys like you who grab those reduced price doe/fawn licenses and come kill females. You actually do the management of wildlife. A trophy hunter called me several years ago to complain about the doe/fawn hunters interfering with his trophy hunt, and I pointed out that without the doe/fawn hunters there would be no big bucks. Increased harvest of does allows maintaining higher buck:doe ratios yet controlling herds.

well, your welcome, and thanks for the compliments. the tags are very reasonable, had a great time, will do it again and brought home a lot of meat. we built a skinning pole of sorts, that fit into the recvr hitch, came apart for easy storage, and worked great. hides came off easily, and we used the tailgate as a deboning table, as the parts came off the antelope. even saw some history. this apeared to be the main house, with a stable, and a bunk house right close together. made us wonder what life was like back then ???
