Some commentator said it well some years ago that the problem wasn't that Jesse Jackson was a black candidate for President but that the black candidate for President was Jesse Jackson.

Let's reword that to bring it up to date

The problem isn't that Obama is a black President but that our black President is Obama.

"Good enough" isn't.

Well then you ought to calm down a bit. In addition to "the heat of battle" more might think about what you have to say, rather than writing you off as a nasty prick.

Reading your posts it didn't take much to figure that out.

I don't have a problem with you. Someone who posts the kind of rude crap you post about other people ("a load dripping from your chin") is beneath consideration as a serious person. Can't see how a non-serious person rates getting real worked up about, other than to observe that they are an immature punk and occasionally bitch-slap them for it.

Hello everyone. First post on this site for me. Found the site researching dogs, I'll post down there soon, but sometimes I can't resist politics.

Some questions for Obama supporters:

Do you believe Obama when he says that no one earning under 250K will see any sort of tax increase, "not a dime!"?

How did you feel about Bush's warrantless wiretapping program? How do you feel about Obama's expansion of that program?

How well do you feel Obama has done with his repeated promises for a "new era of transparency"? (you know, the promise for a 5-day public review of any major legislation)

Do you think that the Economic Recovery Act was well thought out?

Do you think that the Economic Recovery Act, as Obama put it the day after signing it, "contains absolutely no pork"?

Cash for Clunkers- was it good for the environment? Was it good for low-income folks?

Do you think the Obama administration was right in dropping charges against armed thugs who were intentionally intimidating voters at polling places on election day?

These are the ones off of the top of my head- I'm sure I can think of quite a few more

Great questions, and ones that I think illustrate that the reality is there is little difference between the two parties on most matters when the rubber hits the road (as opposed to election time posturing).

Bailouts: started under Bush and increased under Obama - main benefits are large banks.

Wiretapping and other encroachments one our Constitutional liberties - started under Bush, continue under Obama.

Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan: same

Major campaign donors: mostly the same

Average American getting boned - pretty much the same.

Man, this board is active! Thanks for the welcome, 340 Boy.
People need to stop swallowing the [bleep] that both parties have been spoon feeding us. What a bunch of crooks on both side of the aisle.

I'm amazed, though, that the folks that voted for Obama still claim that he's a brilliant statesman. We're all safe in his hands. ACORN is being wrongly targeted. Let the children sing His praise!

Problem with you Mr. Barkoff is that you just don't get it...........

This is the Internet my friend.........it's only pixels and megabytes!

Don't you understand that it doesn't make a bit of difference what people think of me here.......I'm not real........I'm just words on a computer monitor.

The sooner you understand this, the better off you'll be and you'll be able to relax and have some fun here, rather than getting so uptight when you think someone is getting nasty.

So from one "gigahertz" to another........have a nice day........ smirk

They listen to how he says things, not what he says. That's one way he knows he will not be held accountable by many.

Remember the Howard Stern sponsored questioning of voters in Harlem? An interviewer asked voters about Obama's campaign platform only the interviewer substitued the MCCain platform for Obama's. The hood was down with it all.

Then as a exit poll interview another interviewer asked Obama voters about who said what. No one could tell if the speaker being quoted was Obama or McCain. None knew who the speaker of the house was or who was in charge of the senate. But when asked anything related to a Palin sound bite they were 100%.

Sheeple should not be allowed to vote.

Ricky,
Didn't know about the Stern interview.
Sad, but very believable in this day and age.

You may have heard this before and just did not remember it, but here it is. You are right about the sad part.

Well perhaps I can help you out there son.....

I'm not "mad" at anyone here on the Fire because of what they think of ME.

As I said before ..........that's meaningless.

But I do get "mad" sometimes at what some people here on the Fire THINK.

Get it now???
