I am about to get my used Puma '92 in 45LC and want to put some swivel studs on it. I have never done that before, so is it easy or hard and what tricks can you give me?

Also, thinking about replacing the factory sights with a Lyman gold bead front and what for the rear? I need some help here as this is my first lever gun...

If you have to put a sling on it, I vote for an Uncle Mike's split band on the magazine tube w/QD stud, and a second QD stud threaded into pre-drilled hole in the buttstock bottom line about 2" forward of the stock toe.

I use the issue front post with peep sights on both my Rossi Model 92's - a Williams top-mounted 5D-94AE on one, and a Skinner Lo-Pro mounted in the bolt safety on the other.



If you're going to go with barrel sights, Marble's and Lyman both make several replacement rear sights - BUT fitting may be problematic if your barrel dovetail's oversize. (mine weren't)

thanks for the info...I plan to use this as a brush gun and sometime use 4-wheeler transport to my hunting area. A sling will make things easier...as far as sights go thanks for the info on that as well.
