Today is my 20th birthday and I certainly had fun today. Big bore handgun fun that is!

Got the day off today and got a surprise wake up call from my older brother and his friends. I knew there was going to be shooting involved because of the tone in his voice. Anyways, he came with his friends and picked me up and took me to our parent's house. I planned on just seeing if me dad would let me take out his .30-06 Lone Eagle pistol which I absolutely LOVE! I ended up taking my Security Six along as well just for nostalgic purposes and also seeing as it's going to be my CCW next year when I'm 21.

I brought my Mossberg 500 along as well, but it never got shot once due to me having so much big bore fun. Anyways, my older brother had fun as well because he lives in Mexico and guns are banned there and he had to leave his S&W Model 500 here in the states while he started living down South. Sorry that I couldn't provide pics or vids of me having big bore fun, but cameras are a strict no-no with my brother and his friends. Trust me I had fun! cool

So here's the line-up of what was being shot by me:

Ruger Security Six (.357 Magnum)
Lone Eagle (.30-06 Springfield)
Ruger Super Blackhawk (.44 Magnum)
Ruger Super Redhawk (.454 Casull)
T/C Contender (.45-70 Government)
Freedom Arms (.50 Action Express)
S&W Model 500 (.500 S&W Magnum)

There was two things I had a new experience with. First off, the T/C Contender pistol was the hardest kicking handgun I had under my belt, but for some reason, this time shooting it, it wasn't as bad as I remember it. Second of all was the Super Redhawk. I have shot a .454 before, but NEVER a snubbie in that cartridge. It was BRUTAL! As usual the Lone Eagle seemed to be the winner when it came to wrist jerkers and of course the .500 S&W took the cake when it came to the ear ringer.

I seriously had a ton of fun today and even though my palm is killing me and I took a little nick to the forehead from the .50AE front sight, I still have a huge grin on my face. I most likely won't get to have a fun day like today for awhile, but it sure was a great day and I can't say anything bad about today.

Note to moderators: I am posting this at multiple sites not as spam, but as just a means of sharing a fun day to others who don't hang out at all the gun forums I hang out at and my friends.

All I gotta say, it "thank God, it's squirrel season". After the Resurrection of Diaper Boy, I need to shoot something in the face.

Heck, might even do a little fishin' in a farm pond after the bushytails are in the bag.

Never shot a squirrel with one, but I've seen what a Swift will do to a woods prowling house cat while I've been woodchuck hunting though.

It ain't pretty............and for those that are still wondering.........I can assure you that a cat does NOT have nine lives!!!
