Ellie is a Decker Rat Terrier I got from olhippie here on the Campfire.. She is 5 months old, is 15" at the shoulder and weighs 15#. She is losing teeth like crazy, about one a day. See is learning how to squirrel hunt, and loves to be a lap dog. We are going out this afternoon to move some deer stands and give her some woods time.

..Ellie is looking good! I know she'll make a great squirrel dog with proper guidance. She's a very strong female! Pretty like her Mama too! But more beefy like her daddy.

Nice- I was just picking Olhippies brain about this breed.

How large is she predicted to get? Does she range pretty close to you? Has she interacted with cattle/deer- if so, how did it go?

I better not let my duaghter see her or she will be begging for another dog.

...Ellie's Sister "Farrah" is quite the beauty too! She's a shade larger than Ellie now, and white/Black & cinnamon Tan in color.... Farrah is really a 'butch' female, dominant even over her male litter mates, she's ready for the muscle girl circuit at 20 lbs. Her 'grandma', "Georgie", can still set her straight though! Georgie is a thirty pound dog who's quite reserved, but strictly bussiness! The "Black Gold dog food along with a few eggs each week have my dogs in prime shape now.
