leavin from home tuesday after work. heading down to dusty's where i'll meet up with dusty of course & Cpt Bangflop.

Man, setting up that base camp tent at my dad's yesterday & pulling all of the elk camp gear out of the shed & loading it into the truck... it really got me going.

you lucky duck there Dave? I hope you guys have a great trip and lots of luck out there. One day i'll get to go yet i keep saying. Lets see lots of pics when you get back too

Thanks Stan, when i picked up gear from my dad's I also borrowed a decent leg iron to tote around with me. Nice old stainless .357 smith & wesson, can't remember the exact model but it's a pre transfer bar model, a little security.

Stan, I have no problem taking a nap just settin on my stool in an open blind. Don't even need a tree to lean back on, although it would be nice.

Going to check out a box blind this week. Walls and a roof, man I'll have to carry an alarm clock with me.

you can't beat that forecast Dave, how many days you going to be in the bush? my neighbors come back from utah tomorrow and had very good sucess out there too. You'll have to keep a close eye on RWS out there, he may not want to come back....

Shot some geese on Sun morning (5 of us shot 10). Then I got the little girl and we jumped a couple of potholes and shot a nice woodie in the afternoon. Wow, did she have fun. She kept whispering during the stalk "Zip it, Lock it, Put it in your Pocket" cuz I told her she had to be quiet. Pretty funny. I even let her find the woodie. She got pretty excited then! We jumped about 15 woodies and I should have got 2, but I kept going from one bird to the next looking for the drakes and ran out of time before I found the second one.
