I'd love to view them, their price may be why there's so few about. Not saying that their price isn't justified.
Let's ask Doug to send one out for review!

If you look about 10 to 20 posts down from this one you poseted. Someone asked about the Minox HG line. There was a lot of info given on the HG line.
I own the 8.5x43 and made comments on them there.
They are great and probably the only sub 50mm bins I will ever own.

Never knew they had an APO model. I thought all they had was the HG asph.

Cool! I got a couple hunts coming up, maybe I can get a pair and do a review as I help the guys with the tags.
If they are anything like the old HG's or better, they should be a blast.

WOW! Has the honeymoon for Minox ended? Are they going to start going to big three pricing?
Too much for my blood. Guess I better start guiding again.

If you wait long enough, someone will review it without ever even looking through them.

If you have access to the August issue of Field and Stream there is a Huge high end binocular review by David Petzal. The Minox HG-APO was stacked against the Leica Ultravid HD, Swarovski SLC, Zeiss Victory, Nikon EDG, etc. The APO Minox came in #1. It is a VERY good glass.
As stated in another thread Terry Moore, former head of Leica Sports Optics in the USA has taken that position over at Minox and he plans to give the Big Three a run at who really is #1. I have met with him recently and they have some VERY exciting products on the way.

Minox as alpha glass, competing with the Big 3?........let the Minox non-alpha glass bashing begin.

I wasn't referring to myself. I happen to believe Minox along with a couple of others are fantastic, and offer great value. It's the die hard euro lovers that believe only the Big 3 can make a product worth having, that's all. Any time someone mentions glass on par, or close to the alpha stuff, that doesn't carry the "alpha name" the bashing begins. Sorry for the confusion.
