How difficult to find one? If one is found, price on bbl vs whole gun? Great condition vs. fair condition? Thanks. Jim

Holy crap!!!!!
I got my 220 in 28 ga in good to G+ for $75 up here.
I know they're rare but holy moses.....$575?
Maybe I should put it in the safe with the other guns that don't get shot.

That is what the dealer had on it , don't mean he got $575 , he was fishing for a fool.

Got a line on one. No rust, but blue is basically gone. Varnish stripped. It might even be a Stevens 94 bbl on a 220B frame. BBL is not marked with 220. Frame says Chicopee Falls.Tight fit, bore is good. Not sure what to offer. I just know the 28 is hard to find. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks. Jim

Crap, if I was near my gun right now I could have a look for you on the barrel but I'm no help where I am now.

On the ones I have it has only, selected forged steel
proof tested 28 gauge 2 3/4 inch chamber .
I looked at the barrels on several 220's there is no model
marking on them.
When 220 in 28 gauge hits 650.00 I will sell off some
nice ones.

How common are the 220s in .410? Saw one recently for $199, and didn't have the cash (or need) for it, but I would guess it is gone by now.

The 410's are as common as the 20, 16 and 12 ga barrels, it was the 28's that were only made for a short time.

I got lucky on this one. I wasn't really "looking" for the 28. Was looking for a 20 ga bbl and ran across this and after some thought(about 2 seconds worth) I bought it. Knew these were hard to find. Still looking for a 20 ga though. Thanks. Jim
