My cousin is engaged to a woman whose son has serious medical problems. His heart is malformed, his back and body are twisted and he's gone through many open heart, back, and various other surgeries to try to help some the problems. He's gone on a few hunts with us, but we've had to leave him behind for most of our outings due to the physical demands most of the hunts around here require. A few months ago, He and I started talking about some of the youth hunts, disability hunts and so on. Somehow the people with Catch a Dream foundation got ahold of Dylan's info and rewarded him for his trials with a fully outfitted Elk hunt. No, it wasn't for a week long, televised B&C class Rocky Mountain Elk. It ended up being on a 5000 acre ranch in Missouri. Now I don't want to read any negative comments about the type of hunt. The hunt suited his abilities and made a sick boy VERY happy, which is the whole point. Anyway, I worked up some loads for his .284, practiced with him for weeks, and he was ready when they left for the ranch last monday. Tuesday night He called me so excited he could hardly breath. He ended up taking a 1/4 stag elk and it truly made his whole Decade. I can't say enough about the people at Little Flat Creek ranch and Catch a Dream. God bless them! They really did make a one of a boy's dreams come true! Ok.
