I used to make dog treats for the pack of Scotties we had. They loved the liver puffs the best.

I tossed a big pile of dog treats out the back door onto the sidewalk last night. elk meat trimmings, silver skin & fat. mmm, never seen a happier pair of yard crapping stupid hounds in my life.
Something clever here.

You know northern that is going to slicken up their guts. You better step lightly in the yard for a couple days. Get RWS out there to prevent any major foot faults. Dogs do love the trimmings.

both them dogs changed shape last night. sort of turned into a round ball shape.... very fat & happy. yeah, they will be dropping some healthy bombs for sure. more trimmings tonight, and deer season is less than 2 weeks out so... it's a good time of the year if you like wild game trimmings, fat & grissle... god dogs are gross lovable creatures.

Yes they are! If you have a deer season like a you did during elk your going to have some pretty round fur balls.

Vet put my dog on a high protein diet, said mixing eggs in his regular dry food was a good protein source.
Yeah, thank you, doctor. I'm gonna can up his gaseous output, release it in your house and see how you like it.
The dog definitely enjoys the eggs, though.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

"Puppy Burgers", (actually I modified the name) they used to call them "Texas Burgers" in the construction yards. I try to get rid of some of the grease you would find on those purchased from the roach coaches. But I fix them basically the same for my two labs every once in a while and they love them. Phil

One time my sister baked up a batch of treats for her dog. I'm not sure of the recipe but I suppose something to mimic a Milkbone. My Dad went to visit her that day and when no one was in the kitchen began helping himself to the cookies cooling on the counter. It wasn't long before Dad commented that those were the worst cookies he'd ever had. Sis is still laughing about that one.

I inadvertantly made homemade doggie treats, when I attempted to make venison hotdogs. Tasted okay, looked like a turd - couldn't get one down because I was laughing so hard. The dog had no problem with the turd deal, so they were hers.
