Hi all, tried a search but came up empty. I have a 99c and the safety works kinda. When you work the action, it knocks the safety off and the trigger will go off if you pull it. Can anyone give me some hints on what I can do?
Thanks, Tony

Don't know, haven't had a tang safety do that to me. Sometimes it's just best to find a good gunsmith you trust.

Is the safety fully engaging or just slightly? If just slightly, the safety slide needs to be adjusted so it will make firm contact with the little lever lock (triangular shaped hicky)on the lever. This can be done by careful filing on the safety slide.

It seems to be fully engaged. I guess I'll look for a good gunsmith. Problem is I don't know any good smiths with experience on the 99's.
Thanks, Tony

The action can't be worked with the tang safety on since it also locks the bolt. What's the problem?
