Well the reneagade is octagonal and the NE is round, It wouldn't be my first choice. I might be wrong but weren't some renagades 15/16 on the flats and the 54's 1" on the flats.
Every now and then I come across a NE barrel, I would just keep my eyes open and get one that fits.
