Am looking for really inexpensive scope for deer hunting with slugs. Don't have many years left to be walking around the woods. Saw a A1 optic scope ad. is it one of those 'If it's to good to be true...." jobs. Has ayone used one? Would like something in the $100 range or cheaper if possible

At that price, and for a slug barrel, I would put up an ad in the classifieds asking for an older Weaver K2.5, K3 or K4 scope; "cheap" optics nowadays may have better glass, but will not take the recoil of a slug gun. Slug guns are hard on scopes, just like a big bore rifle is hard on scopes.

I would add that a Burris 2.5 or 4x would be another option. both are in the low $100s and have around 5" of eye relief. Some times there are very nice deals on fleabay
I agree with Oregon that the super cheap budget scopes are probably a poor choice for the recoil of a slug gun.

Check ebay for a Leupold M8. With their lifetime warranty you can always send it back to Leupy to get it repaired/refurbished.

Nikon Pro-Staff 2-7 Shotgun Hunter, about $130. I'm pretty sure the parallax is set for 75 yds.

The Nikon ProStaff 2-7x32 with the Nikoplex/Duplex reticle is a good choice. They have a 75 yard parallex, but I've used 'em on a variety of CF rifles with good results.
