The 25-06 will not dissapoint!! I just recently got one and couldn't be happier!! GO FOR IT!!!!! ENJOY!!!!

It's fun at the range (wife now will go shooting with me - she loves the 25/06). Have used it already on prairie dogs, 'yotes, and this year's buck antelope and doe mule deer hunts. Deadly, fun, accurate, easy to shoot.

It'll go on this week's elk hunt as a backup rig, and for reducinig 'yote population.... no way I'm EVER leaving that baby at home - NEVER! For anything under elk it QUICKLY became my #1 gotta grab rig smile

Just do it, order today!!!

That's the norm. The people that don't have one are the naysayers.

Hey Guys:

Geez, you have "discovered" a 40 year old open secret (25/06 went factory ammo in 1969...).

I bought a Ruger 77R in 25/06 as my first ever centerfire rifle in 1983. Still have it...the Ruger has a 24" medium sporter barrel and is just about perfect for all the reasons noted.

I would NOT get one in a 22" barrel, or a barrel with a contour less than #3.

The Hornady 120 shoots exactly to the same point of aim as the 120 Partition. Handload for almost nothing, practice all summer, and hunt all Fall with the some box of Partitions for 8-10 years. Norma MRP works great with the 75-80 varmint bullets; IMR 4350 for the 120s....other greta powders now, too, like RL 19 etc.

I have a 25-06 BDL and a 257 WBY and I will never part with either. They shoot very flat, very accurate and kill like the "Hammer". YMMV

I may be getting my original 25-06 back (M700), since the kid I sold it to over 20 years ago, is partly grown up now and like many in his generation, needs money. I've regretted ever selling that one for many years.

If three or more people think you're a dimwit, chances are at least one of them is right.
