I just recently developed a great load with IMR 4064 and a 170 grain Core-Lokt.

Most of my .30-30 loading has been done with IMR 3031.

The last .30-30 I loaded for was a Winchester 94 trapper. I shot 170 grain remington corelokt factory ammo in it, then reloaded with the 170 grain hornady and 3031.

Today I'd start my quest with Wincheter 748, seems to get the most velocity for any given pressure. If it gives accuracy too, which you can only know after testing it in YOUR gun, perfect. Next up would be Varget, RL15, H4895, and H335. Then I'd probably give IMR 3031 another go. RL 7 is a good powder but I'd probably save it for the 110s, it's fast enough that slight variations could lead to big pressure changes, not the sort of thing I want happening in my lever action.

IMR 4064 32.0g in my Winchester 94, 1 1/4" groups (yes, these are real groups out of a lever-action. I have a side-mounted scope.

I just found out that 31.5g 4064 and the new FTX give me those groups too, 32.0g blew it out to 2 1/2", interesting what a half grain difference will do or even one-tenth.

That TAC powder is excellent stuff.
I spent most of the summer testing it in several 22 caliber rifles and got some awesome accuracy.
