Hi all, I've posted this one in a few places and haven't found anything yet. Has anyone ever heard of this brand of scope and if so, are they any good? I have a 3x9 that came on a Savage 99F that I inherited. The only thing on the scope other than the name and power is "USA". Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The best reference I have been able to find on old rifle scopes is Nick Strobel's book. I will look when I get home tonite and post what he has to say....the9.3guy

If I recall correctly, these were made in the late sixties or early seventies. The company disappeared after a few years but the scopes were pretty fair for their day. My dad bought one that I recall but don't remember him commenting positively or negatively about the scope. I remember one gunshop in your neck of the woods that sold a bunch of them and spoke highly of them at the time. Ward

WesternWa,
My reference states that Realist, Inc. of Menominee, Wis began importing Realist scopes in 1965. It states they were a "quality" scope, and featured constantly centered reticles and alloy tubes. And were nitrogen filled. It indicates they were last cataloged in 1974. It lists a value $50 - $80 for the 3x-9x. Hope this helps...the9.3Guy
