Good work by you guys posting on this thread.
I sent my B&C all black Stock back for a new recoil pad. While it was there, B&C sent me an e-mail asking if I'd like to have it camo painted while they had it. They sent me a number of pix of what they could paint the stock, and I selected the pattern shown below.
The rifle is a 22 BR, and the paint job should fit the snow that's about to decend on Michigan, north. grin
They charged me $45 for the paint job; not too shabby..

PP,

Thank you.
The rifle is chambered in 22 BR, with a Mauser 98 action, because I had it on hand, and the barrel is a SS 26" Douglas. Trigger is a Timney.
Shoots very well with 52 grain Begers and RL-7 powder, and Fed 205M's for primers; three shots, 3/8" groups at 100 yards.
Performance is very close to a 22-250.
Bob Milek wrote about the 22 BR, and that's what prompted me to get one put together. That was about 20 years ago, however if I was building one today, it would be on a Rem 700SA. Back then I didn't have the moolah to go with a Rem, and the 98 was on the shelf, so that's how it came to be.

Take care,

Don

Oven is custom built by me. I built it large enough to fit a 55in. assembly.

My buddy lightly i mean lightly brushed the metal up with a sandblaster before we plated it. I'm not real familiar with it but I think it depends on the metal prep before you plate on the sheen polished slick= shiny and rougher surface= duller finish. I was woried about the mirror finish myself its my coyote gun

You mean to tell me that there's still a shop left in the US that does hard chrome?

He got a number or e-mail? That'd look sweet on a Kimber 84 Montana laugh
