Throw a Cummins in there and your ready to rock. I keep looking at that truck, that thing is awesome. That winch looks pretty serious too.

Those tires are military Michelin XZL in size 11.00-16, I have the exact same set on my '79 1 ton Suburban. They tape a bit over 38" in height and are radials and last 50,000 miles! Pretty good tire for $100 each!! (surplus military, in 90-95% condition/tread).

Oh yeah, the truck aint bad either, but probably has a gutless flathead engine in it!!;)

I'd have that thing sunk in about 2 minutes. that's a beast. But for a car hauler on the other hand...Build a flat bed and ramp system on the back. You already have the winch for pulling that old metal out of the fields and famrs.

hot rod car hauler written all over it.

Needs a longer bed. That one isn't long enough to hold the gas tank you'll need to get to the hills and back.

I love the Power Wagon, and agree that they are tough, but the stock flathead is about all the powertrain will handle reliably. Clutches and axleshafts become a weak link quickly when power is increased.
Didn't Dodge have a concept PW about 10-12 years ago at an auto show? Seems to me they had one styled to look like the original.

I think most auto makers do that. Ford had one for the old style Bronco's too. If they'd ever come out with it, I'd be the first in line to buy one.

I think GM could do well with a modern version of the 67-72 trucks as well. 4x4 with an off road version...hmmmm.

You may not jump in line when you see the price for them!! Kinda like the re-pop T-Birds of a few years ago. For the price of them, you could have had a beautifully restored original!

When those tbirds first came out, they were crazy high priced. They calmed down quite a bit the next few years. Now the used ones are damn near cheap in comparison.
