Wrap one is a bacon weave and cook it on your grill...... Pardon my ignorance, but what is bacon "weave"? just weave bacon over / under to fit meat . tooth pick in place and cook. Kidnapped pics to show : some folks have too much time on thier hands lol :

I have made two turkeys on the grill wrapped in woven bacon. There were hardly any leftovers.

I've got about 1/2 a backstrap that is not cut up yet from an " Oh Schitt" 5 pt . ( " Oh Schitt" = why did I shoot this deer this far out .) Mile and 3/4 as the crow flies back to camp I'll try the weave on it after season closes and I get the smoker fired up at home. The 2 wheel deer cart from cabellas is a wonderful thing once ya make it back to a trail . Wife asked for a bear for the freezer ( she's not a big venison fan , but loved the bear I got a few years ago ) so I guess I'll just have to get back to camp try to get one for her .

Wow, I think an artery clogged just looking at the bacon weave. The drool falling into my keyboard probably didn't do it any good.
Dang, that looks delicious!

ahh, Rooster, that is why I said "some" and not "all". Fortunately, you are not in a heap of trouble....as long as you pay back that money you owe me.

I couldn't be there this weekend, I have to play catch up and work on physics and ecology homework. yuck! Depends on the zone. In Zone 2 where I hunt, firearms is 9 days (2 weekends and the week in between) Zone 1 is 16 days. We used to have a 2 day season, so we're slowly improving. One of these years, I may just pass on a legal buck.

Actually Stan the greater part of MN only has a 1 week season, Chickenbuck is located in the area of the state that has a two week season & we're pretty glad because we need 2 weeks. OK I'll post some pictures up. What does everybody think of this for kitchen wallpaper for the cabin? CBF brought a couple of friends up this weekend & one of them came up with the idea to peel birch bark off some of our firewood & staple it to the wall for wallpaper. I kind of like it. Here's what ND cooks for breakfast sometimes. (along with eggs & pancakes of course) eener the dog with a couple young hunters. And of course the big news, Pam has been on a dry spell with the deer. She doesn't hunt nearly as much as I do, she used to hunt with her dad and the last time she got a deer... well it was almost 20 years ago So this is a big deal: She anchored the spiker, 125 gr rem core lock 30-06. Took the lungs & heart, very nice take, well done. Would be best if I let her post & tell her own deer story. Here's a few shots by our fuzzy wind chime. (2 have already been taken down, we were 6 for our rifle season) The mighty hunter. Way to go Camp Chickenbuck! 6 pole hangers in one season. And Mrs. N.D. finally breaks her long drought. I bet that feels nice.
