A friend and I got caught in a weather change from 55 degrees to freezing rain and 70 mph winds which shredded our tent. We loaded up and walked out in the dark, descending 4,000 feet in 18 miles that we had covered earlier that day. At one point, my partner had such severe hypothermia that he went blind, and we had to stop and huddle while our clothing froze. When the freezing rain and sleet turned to a warmer drizzle, we got up and made it to an Adirondack, where we shed our wet clothing and got into our dry sleeping bags and warmed up.

Why isn't this Lee guy banned, and these threads locked? Some of it is funny, don't get me wrong, but seriously, 40 pages of outright lies and slander, and it continues? wtf?

I hate to make you think to much at one time but how is it you can walk 6.666 miles an hour but only trot 4.4 miles an hour, I forgot what you said, sorry.

Why don't you ban all the other posters with real experience, who backed up what I said, and posted links to many people who have done what you trolls can't comprehend?

Kent, since you obviously have never been to the Grand Canyon, it is over 5,000 feet vertically, 1 mile, with an 8-mile trail. Also, we tourists like to stop and admire the views.

You googled the wrong trail. It's physically impossible for you to have hiked it from where you said. I'm not giving you any hints, no cheating by asking for the answer or looking on the paper of the kid in the next desk.
Describe Phantom Ranch and the campground there.

Go to 30/page and you can walk through them faster!

[quoteLiar24/7]I went to the USPS web site and looked at photos and maps.[/quote] What zip code did you find? At least I know where to send your Christmas card.

USPS, I missed that. Hahahaha, good one.
No wonder he has the wrong trail.
Actually, there is no trail he describes but we all know that. I knew he was going to say Bright Angel from the minute he posted his GC example, was patient and let him say it himself.
He claims to be a scout master or whatever, his basic map reading skills are so bad he's a danger to the kids, might even be considered child endangerment. Hate to have to follow his lead anywhere.

Also, who here with real experience would have hiked 38 years ago, somewhere they had never been, without a map and compass? 38 years ago was before Liar24/7 invented the now-ubiquitous GPS.
