So as I was getting off work last Wednesday, getting ready to enjoy the big Turkey Day, my wife calls and informs me that we were visited by the local police. Seems my Lance Camper is an eyesore to my neighbor who lives a mere 3 or more blocks down the street, but passes by daily to let her dog crap in a field near my house. Apparently, there's a city ordinance that forbids the parking of any camper or boat for more than 3 days on a city street......News to me, until Wednesday. The lady cop said she didn't want to even right out the notice, since we live on the dead-end and obstruct absolutely zero traffic, but since a formal complaint was filed, she had to follow through. Here's the ugly and menacing camper in question parked alongside the house, prior to me moving it to an easier location to load and unload....... Since I'm dealing with a truly pathetic excuse for an individual, who's daily routine must be something that would make Lawrence Welk Show look like Robin Williams on crack, what would be a good suggestion for the 4x8 plywood sign that I intend to lean against the camper to let them know what good citizen I think they are? I do have to keep it clean, since both of my boys are able to read. Winning phrase will get to see sign posted and at least a good laugh.

Put a plastic flower pot on top of it and tell them it's a planter.

I can't think of any sign that would be both effective and legal...without knowing and mentioning the complainer's name. Anything with her name on it would be effective in getting her to mind her own business, I would think.
I saw a movie where only the military and the police had guns. It was called Schindler's List.

Just make the sign as big an eyesore as you can make it.

Ask her if you can park it her yard for 3 days, then move it back to yours, then back to hers, then back to yours.... hot potato, such an eye sore lol!! Some people have no life.
Something clever here.

I don't know for sure who she is, except my wife was able to gather enough info from the cop that concluded what street she lived on and she utilizes my dead-end street to let her dogs crap.
Probably an Obama supporter to boot.

I could see the disgust if I was putting some 1967 special out front with mason jar plumbing, but tis not the case. Apparently my North River doesn't offend her on the other side of the street and the cop said that it wasn't a problem......???? The pavement ends at the end of the prop....

Ok had a similar problem here. City officials even asked me to sit on a focus group to find a solution. Found put real quick I would never make it in political office. Seems some azzhat moves here from somewhere else, gated community I am thinking. He is in the city planners office every Monday morning bitching about people parking trailers on the street as they are an eyesore and a hazard to kids playing.
We attend meeting. The guy even thinks the brand new cargo trailer I have parked in my driveway should not be there. Real nut case.
Long story short, a freind of mine is his neighbor. Guy is a real pain in the azz. So my friend buys an old car that is an eyesore oil leaking piece of crap but still runs. It is legal to park a currently licensed / plated piece of schitt car on the street anywhere as long as you don't block a driveway. The homeowner does not own the street.
So he parks this thing in front of the jerks house and just moves it around every few days! The jerk is furious but can't do a thing about it!

Is it on the street, or in your yard? Is there a legal difference? What is the actual wording of the ordinance?

Also, the lady " passes by daily to let her dog crap in a field near my house".
Who owns the field? Is this trespassing? Does your town's laws/ordinances permit a dog attended by a person to crap on someone else's yard?
