This past weenend I mounted a scope on a rife I purchased from a friend. The rifle had not had a scope previously mounted on it. The scope I used had been on another rife of mine and worked fine.

Anyway, there was not enough elevation adjustment to zero the rifle...about 2 inches low at 100 yards was the best I could do. So I switched to another scope...(different brand of scope as well) and got basically the same results. I've never had this problem before...but I thought I would try higher rings. Would this help?

My first thoughts are whether the bases are reversed. Also check the model number for correct bases. Lightman

Are you mounting using the Ruger type rings? Did you add a weaver rail?
