marlin 1894 lever 44 mag


this will sound stupid but please bear with me

when you load the ammo in the tube the lil thingy u push against is not moving back in place it is like it is missing a spring that pushes it back against the out side of the rifle

and when you lever it hangs the next round up

Thinking you are trying to describe the loading gate. I believe it is made of spring steal, and that little thing has a screw holding it in place? I would try tightening the screw... Hope others will chime in to better assist...

A loose screw is a common issue on the loading gate. Put a drop of blue Loctite on the threads and tighten.
