Since expiry of the assualt weapons ban have any of the companies started back to offering M-16 lookalikes with the formerly banned features?

Most of the manufacturers never stopped. The features weren't banned, you just couldn't have more than two of the following six features on a post-ban manufactured rifle.
1) Detachable magazine
2) Pistol grip
3) Threaded barrel/flash hider
4) Collapsible stock
5) Bayonet lug
6) Grenade launcher
The majority of folks opted for magazine and pistol grip, but the other items could be substituted legally.

I know this was about AR-15s but I have a Norinco MAK-90 with the grotesque thumb hole stock. Is it legal now to install a separate butt stock and pistol grip on this rifle? It has the milled receiver. Thanks...Bill.

yes, most have. notable exception being colt.
i just 'built' my own, and recently completed it. complete w/ collapsible stock and flash suppressor. got 2 more on the burner in various stages of completion.
Hunting is not a matter of life or death. It is much more important than that.
