Grizz I think Berettaman hunts south of the Swamp Squid medicine line nominally called Hwy 2. But they do have those terrible ditch parrots in that area.

First I must say: What a beautiful family. Both blood related and extended and including the 4 legged ones too. Its not everyday that youd find such a great family. Certainly not everyday that youll find a family that will hunt, fish, camp, work and play together so very well. I am hoping one day my little one(s) will hunt and camp and fish with me, though it may be a while as the little one is 18months old right now (Probably a little early).

Second, what an awesome project. Thanks for the pictures along the way. Gives me lots of ideas and a hope one day that I could have an awesome place like this I would caution you however on posting these pictures as I'm sure soon a great deal of people will be driving around looking for your slice of heaven...

Third, what a nice fleet of toys, trucks and tools I think I speak for a lot of us when I say thats what we all hope to have one day

And finally, keep us all posted as this project and your lives continue. It truly is a beautiful sight to see...

Welcome to the fire, but stay alert. There are swamp squid/lizards, flying bears and ditch parots/pickles just waiting to srike. grin

Snow is coming down right now. Where the heck was it during the deer season when we needed it?

Yep, it is very rare that we have Swamp Squid issues where I hunt. We are a couple hours south of Hwy 2, so they dont get down here much.

Ditch parrots though...they can be thick and if they gang up on you....watch out. I do my best to keep the population under control.

Thanks for such kind words, CumminsHunter. And most importantly "welcome to the camp". Stick around I'm sure we will have more adventures ahead. As Weezie said once "my life is like a cartoon". And as Muffy said "I'd like to live with you guys, I know there's never a dull moment". crazy

The boys are at the cabin this weekend. -5 degrees this morning, wonder if the deer are moving around. If they aren't at least we are making ice, right? PWM and I might run out to the cabin while Weezie is working this morning. Dave thought I packed his bag but in actuality I just took the dirty ones out from last time and left the clean ones in there. So he has no clothes, sigh. Everyone have a good weekend and stay warm.

I do it about once a year. I mark the page I left off on, and come back to it. It takes probably 2-3 hours, but I never really paid attention to how long it took.

WI DNR says there will NOT be a 16 day deer season in 2010, due to the low deer kill this year. Article appeared in this mornings Milwaukee Sentinal.

Hi MrsD.
You should see if Mossy Oak makes garanimals; that way Dave could pack and dress himself. grin
