I have owned all of the above and prefer the A Bolt. I like the ergonomics, tang safety and pretty much everything about A Bolt rifles. Check out the X Bolt too if you're thinking about a Browning.

and I'm just the opposite, I drive Rems.
though got my son the T3 as it's what came to his shoulder most comfortable to him.
it pizzes me off to no end being lh'ed and I just can't warm up to either Brownings nor Savages and those two manu's have been the lh'ed friendliest of them all!
almost bought a Savage one time, but sobered up.
know guys here that swear by their Brownings, but just never cared for them.
picking out a rifle for another guy is akin to pickin out a wife for him. only you know what feels good to you and horns you up.
I vote buy all 3, send the two down the road that you can't love, and give us a full report on the experience.

Just to add, I just recently purchased another Remington, XHR in 25-06 and recently sold my Tikka 25-06. All the above are nice rifles and all are accurate out of the box in my experience, especially the Tikka. I just couldn't warm up to the Tikka ergos; the stock felt cheap to me.

I've owned or own more than one of all 3. It's not an easy choice. All 3 have their virtues. It all comes down to what you value most in a rifle. The Tikka's are simple, smooth, and lightweight. Browning's fit and finish are exceptional, accurate, and lightweight. Remington's fit and finish isn't what it once was but they're built like tanks and you can put great triggers on them. Remington is the only one of the 3 that I'd buy a like new example off gunbroker instead of the lesser quality guns they build today. In my gun cabinet I rank them this way...X-Bolt, T3, 700. There is something very nice about the T3's simplicity and super positive action. They feel like a swiss watch compared to most other guns. I prefer mine to my Sako 85 for a number of reasons. My T3 outshoots the Sako while being lighter and smaller.

I'd pick the tikka, it has always been an accurate rifle in the 5 we've had in my home, function great and has a better synthetic stock, and those sako barrels don't hurt.

Picked up a Tikka T3 in ss synthetic in 30-06. I shot a honest 3 shot MOA at 200 yds. I used a Leupold III set on 10x. I was using factory remington core-lock 180s too.
I like it because it's accurate. I don't like the looks of the stock. It's too modern.

Years back a friend got me to finally buy a Tikka when I was replacing my 7mm RM, it shot and handled so well I have six T3's now including a 35 Whelen I had built by reboring a .270 win. All shoot great..

I bought a Tikka T3 lite in .243 a little over a month ago. After I was at the range I ordered another one T3 hunter in 6.5x55. Can't wait to shoot it. I'm picking it up this thursday.
Nothing like a fine shotgun and a good bird dog. Franchi Veloce O/U, 7Rm and Orvis rod.

The Browning looks nicer, but the Tikka does what it is supposed to do. Bought my son a Tikka T3, great trigger, MOA out of the box, smooth bolt, no feeding issues. Father in law has an A bolt in 243. This year he asked me to look at it as it did not feed the new Federal Fusions and other sharper tipped bullets. One look at the feed ramp and receiver to barrel area convienced me that the Tikka was the better option. More plastic on the Tikka, but I will go with function over looks anyday.

I really enjoy my Tikka T3 Hunter in 6.5x55. It's all I really need for hunting here in the east.

ABolt. I hear great things about the Tikka, but just don't like the way it feels.

The X-bolt would actually be more similar to the Tikka. Polymer magazine and lightweight.
