Ok, over on another forum, there has been a lot of interest in getting a #1 RSI or #1-A done in 303 Britich. A special run for us Canucks that grew up shooting enfields from the surplus store. I've contacted Lipseys and they have the OK from Ruger. Lipseys will keep 50 for the US market and we'll take the other 200. Now, we just need the interest and orders to make the run. In the first 24 hrs, we have 32 orders. Not bad but we need to keep the ball rolling.

Lipseys will sell to the US customers through their US dealers.

I like the old Brit round. Would definitely think that would be a classy No. 1.

Count me in for one in a #1-A
I am assuming that updates on this special run or any other information related to this will be available on this site. Is this correct?
Thanks in advance for the information.

I think if you post here you want one, or pm Clay (SakoAlberta). As of 11 pm last night, I think there was over 50 confirmed.
Later.....

Later..... Up to just over 80 now and we have interest from dealers in Australia now (and NZ and South Africa)

I don't think I can find your email? Sorry, it could be me, the response of this, plus our regular business has been a little overwhelming. Clay

I'd take an 1-A with walnut. The International version doesn't do it for me. .

So that people can see the two rifles side by side, I've added Clay's announcement to my page. www.303british.com My vote is for a No 1S, but frankly, ANY new 303 would be welcome!

So that people can see the two rifles side by side... Wrong Steve I think - it's between the 1A light sporter and the RSI version with full length wood fore end! See Clay's first post here.

I would favour the 1A. In truth, I would prefer the opportunity to buy a "beater" No.1 so I could build my own. GD

That's not what he told me. It's changed since he posted that. I do not know the reason why though. His exact words were, "Looks less likely now for an RSI, more likely a 1-A, but maybe a 1-S." I think that he's waiting to hear about details. We'll have to wait for another week or so.
