Guys, Any ideas on how to fool a big buck after the rut. I have a nice buck I've caught on my trail cam repeatedly around mid-night. We have a short season coming up in January. Thanks in advance for the responses.

If everybody in your area hunts early and late, try midday.

Stay in your stand all day, or hunt him irratically. I mean use several stands always keeping in mind the wind. Hunt different times of the day. Go to and from your stands different ways. Post rut bucks go for the food and smart ones will stay in the thick stuff. He didn't get to be a big buck by being dumb!
Always hunt the wind!!!!!

If there's snow on the ground, track him. He'll move if you step on him.

Shy of pushing him out of his bedding area, I'd wait for a major front to move through with barometer dropping and snuggle up to the likely food source and expect to see him at last light - perhaps earlier.
