I live in central Iowa. So I went to Scheels in West Des Moines on Sunday for my birthday, to look around. Went to the reloading area and they actually had quite a bit of primers. Including a box of CCI Large Rifle and a box of Remingtion Large Rifle. I've been needing some large rifle primers so I bought both bricks. I checked out and the bill seemed a little low. I got home and looked at the receipt. The CCI's were @$30 bucks. Seems reasonable. I looked at the Remington and it was $3.49!!! I looked at the box and there was a price sticker for $3.49 on it. I can only assume that was for a single box of 100 not the whole brick. Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!

Not to preach at ya or anything. Or the good deal is karma for the several thousands of dollars I have spent there...

Finding 1000 primers for $25.00 would be a good deal. Keeping 1000 primers that you were charged $3.49 for when you know that was a mistake by the counter person is dishonest.

Integrity is doing the right thing, even when nobody's watchin.. You do what you think is best, but I would not brag about ripping a retailer off...and that's where it stands right now that you're doing..... What if it was your business, your livelihood, your paycheck ???

Did I incorrectly price the product? Did I open the glass case, look at the box and then hand it to me? Did I ring it up incorrectly? Hell, I didn't even notice the mistake till I got home. So, no, I did not rip anyone off. Not even close!

A person of good character will do the right thing even when no one else knows about it. Like someone else said, that's not a good deal -- it's a test of character.
Had a similar thing happen to me over a 6 pack of film -- paid for one and got five free. Went back to the store and showed them their mistake, and the manager gave me the deal because of the money I saved him on the rest of the sales.
Honesty does pay off, even if I had to pay for the other 5 rolls of film.

I see...that all makes it OK....?? A phone call back to the owner would be a good juster and possibly let him know you are a good, honest customer and someday you might really score a "deal" from him... live with it...

I checked out and the bill seemed a little low. backpedal faster. No. I checked out. The bill seemed a little low. I didn't inquire or care that much. I never even asked the price when I asked for the primers. I was willing to pay whatever they were marked because I needed them. Only once I got home did I check to see what was up. This thread is like the religious threads, it's going nowhere. Moving on.....

Funny thing is, that is exactly what a guy who I thought I knew pretty well said after buying some furniture and the store delivered TWO recliners instead of the one recliner and couch that he had actually paid for.
