I'd bump the barrel contour to come in around 5 pounds 12 ounces and would skip the brake. If you have never shot a rifle in the field with a brake and without hearing protection, you won't understand.

I have had 2. One a 7mag built on a Winchester model 70 action. The other a 300 win mag on a remington 700 action. I don't remember exactly what each one weighed, but they were both under 6 pounds.
Both rifles shot like crazy with the loads supplied at the build. With the break the rifles were very manageable, but as moosemuncher pointed out, they are way too loud in the field. My ears range for 3 days after I touched off the 300 win.
Overall I like the rifles very much but found the teflon coating would start to wear pretty fast. I would own another, but I would buy used since for the same price of new one I have been able to build myself some fantastic rifles.

Thanks for the replys,I swore I would never have a rifle with a break after shooting my model 7 .308 without protection, ditched that break after that day. I wondered if someone has one without,I dont mind taking some abuse on the shoulder.

I have been to Kerry's shop several times. I have seen his work, and his staffs work, his load develpment process...etc. If I were to contract MG Arms to do a buid...Kerry would be to only on I would want to touch the project. I respect any man who will teach others his craft...just not on my rifle. I'm willing to pay for quailty. His rifles are light...if that is what your after. I've not shot any of his rifles, so I can't vouch for their accuracy.
