Oh;
And the "best" "fast" 25 is the Weatherby.
It just rocks.

When it was developed there was also a STE wildcat, or SHOOTING TIMES EASTERNER

If I remember the 7mmSTW is a 8mm Rem Mag case necked down to 7mm. But you can check with Shooting Times Magazine for old articles on it. Just another go fast round.Rick.

How about a 6.5STW,my gunsmith here in Carrollton,Texas built 1 for guy 2 years ago.He got as fast 4019fps with 120NBTS,it was cratering the primers,so he back off and his hunting load is 3819fps with the 120NBTS. If you want to find out about the 25STW,go to the Buck Masters,webbsite.If I remember right check 3J's outfitter for Mexico hunts,he's also a gunsmith that builds rifles in this caliber.He also has video of deer and javalenas with this caliber.Skeeter

These calibers are not in my area of interest or expertise, but I do have a question. What do you propose to do with a super-fast 25 calibre gun? This is in no way a knock. I really do want to know.

IIRC, this cartridge was called something else a few years ago, if it is the same one, a 7mm STW necked down to .25.
I am not really interested in a super fast .25, either, but if I was interested, having one would be better than not having one.
Having one would be better than not having one even if I wasn't interested.

Then again, if your spelling is any indication, you may not want to be messing with a wildcat cartridge to begin with...... Just saying....... Casey

What do you propose to do with a super-fast 25 calibre gun? I run a 257 Weatherby, and I do anything I want to with that one.
