My dad has lost the bolt for his reminton 788 in .222. I was wondering if anyone has one for sale. Is there a company that makes replacements?

Tell your Dad he better find that bolt , remember when you were a kid & you lost something and he'd say "You better find it"

I think that he took it out to keep me from using it. Now he can't remember where he put it. He seems to be pretty protective over it.

To tell you how hard they are to come by I jumped on this thread in sheer panic trying to be the first to say Ill take it!!

I have one that came out of a 243, but im 110% you cant get it to work for you without major modifactions

If this post is going to be updated twice a day, would say that there are guys that have been looking for the same bolt for years and years.
You would stand a much better chance finding the one your father misplaced.

I will take it. If that 243 is right handed it is mine.

Might seem like a silly suggestion.... but have you contacted Remington? It will probably cost in the neighborhood of $150 but they just might support it.
Otherwise maybe Gun Parts Corp might have one. Call and ask, sometimes they won't list it if they only have one.
