Anyone know the approximate weight savings from the factory Remington Custom Shop ABG laminated stock to a Mcmillan Edge stock.

Not sure, but be aware that McMillan has caliber limits on the Edge. Check their website to be exact.

You have a good point, it's a 338 RUM and their website says up to .338 ?

I just tried calling and there closed I will try them tomorrow. I know the general weight savings over typical walnut is generally a little over a pound, but these Laminated ABG stock are huge and the guns go 9.5 lbs no scope. 8 pounds would be a lot nicer.

It might not be a problem as they have several of their custom rifles sporting EDGE stocks in pretty hard kickers, such as the 300 Ultra and 30-378. Don't know if a 338 Ultra kicks more than a 30-378........gotta be close I'd guess.
