Looks good Dave, did you foam the inside of the tubes too? maybe put a plate on one end to hang the outboard on for spring fishing.

Dave, That looks like quite a nice garage/shop. What are the dimensions and how are you heating it? Attached to the house?

Detached, 30' x 60' 12 foot walls. I heat it with a cleanburn waste oil furnace.
And it's a crap hole, total mess.
It needs a serious clean up out there.

Ryan, what's the bottom like? What kind? Size?
A friend of mine lost his drill section down the hole last Sunday.
He was using one of those new quick coupler adapters, didn't work too well for him.

Where you pulling your house to this weekend dave? South tip is decent i guess. I won't be able to get out till sunday but the weather sounds good for the weekend. I thought about getting that quick coupler, i think you just deterred me.

I'm not sure, I'm kind of leaning towards "straight up the middle" as in Gull/Arnesons area.
South tip might be ok too but you know how that goes with big houses.
Not sure yet.
Do you have a plan yet?

Morning till night is the normal walleye bite on LOW.
When you came up last year we started out tip up fishing for northerns & when that looked dead we scooted up to an evening walleye spot. That was sort of an odd day fishing wise. We did ok in the end though if I remember corectly.

just never got to revved up about the late hunt I guess.
yeah I heard about that road, that might be where we go, chain up the old plow truck & head up there to bust a little trail off the main road to put a couple of houses.

Jeremy talked to our neighbor yesterday, and him and his boy went fishing on Lake 7 on Sunday. His boy who I think is about 13 years old caught a 27 inch walleye. They put their house by ours. He got it at about 1 in the afternoon. I guess we have to fish earlier.
I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

Heading out tomorrow to brave the cold ass temps on the ice. Some of these goof balls are heading out about 1 or 2 tomorrow AM. There isn't a lake in WI that I'm willing to get up that early to go fish in below 0 temps on. I'll meet them up there tomorrow at 6am, catch my 3 eyeballers by 9 and drink till noon. Have lunch and go home.

We're not getting that nasty cold you guys up there are. -35 and I'll watch fishing on TV. If I had a shack, it would be a different story. I'm running warm clothes and choppers. I'll go hang with the boys for a while, but I'm not going to freeze my buns doing it. 27 through the hole is a nice fish. Biggest I've caught through the ice is 25".
