I'm looking to buy another 223 for a prairie dog gun. I would like to buy a package deal with scope included. Heavy barrel would be ideal. Wood or black synthetic stock, but not camo. Looking to spend around $800 for gun and scope.

I have a SPS Varmint 223. Rifle was DuraCoated Dark Earth. Since took off the one pc base so its black were the base was.

I have a Savage 10FP 223 I would sell for $550 shipped. Its a tack driver and might do better with handloads. I've got a Ruger Mark II blue (sporter not heavy barrel) in a nutmeg laminate stock, with a Leupold 4-12. Package is like new, shot less than 200x.
I could ship it all to you for $800.

Joe, I have a Howa with a medium wt bbl and a composite stock. It is presently wearing an 8X Pecar that is not for sale but I have several other scopes I could substitute. It is a good shooter.
I have a friend dropping by to look at it this weekend. If he doesn't take it, you can have it with scope base for $325 plus shipping. If you want one of my available scopes on it, we'll work that out.
