264 win mag but only a 24 inch barrel to me this needs to be a 26 somebody tell me i'm stupid its worth the money.

True but you could also get even more with a 28" tube. Don't get hung up on the tube lenght. That sounds like a steal of a deal. Worst case is you don't like it you can sell it for a profit. the action and the stock are worth the price.

he tells me it shoots lights out .54 with factory half of that with a load he worked up.

Have a pre-64 western with the 22 inch barrel and crappy twist in like new condition. about 8 deer don't know that I'm shooting light for caliber bullets at subsonic speeds. they are all dead. imagine that.

If it was built by Dale, it will be a shooter. Dale built four rifles for me and all were excellent and I am always on the lookout for rifles Dale built.

The action and stock is gonna get you close to the bills. I'd not sweat a 24 in 264. Actually have one in the safe with a 20".

Burn it up, tube it with what you want later!

This action was bought here at the 'Fire. My pard and I made it into a switch barrel. Its got 4 Sako factory tubes for it and one Shilen. The 264 is on it now.

I have a couple of the 264 Sako's with the 26 inch barrel. The are kinda hard to find. Seems like the 264 is making a comeback. I load 140 ballistic tips and partitions for mine.
